Darren Luck, CIM
Darren brings over 25 years of experience as an Investment Advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy and its predecessor firms. He is a certified advisor; a status earned by only the top tier of advisors across Canada, making him uniquely qualified to serve the complex needs of affluent families, foundations, and corporations. Darren has written several articles for local as well as national publications. He has hosted a regular financial planning television program, "Your Money", lectured on the topics of business and finance, and is an industry consultant on financial advisory best practice management. He held the position of Branch Manager for CIBC Wood Gundy and predecessor firms, over a span of 10 years.
After studying Economics at the University of Windsor, Darren took courses at Princeton and Harvard Business School. He credits most of his investment knowledge and expertise, however, to travelling the world to consult with leading authorities; with the likes of Warren Buffett, Jeremy Siegel and Jeffery Gundlach on business and finance and shares those insights with his clients. Darren is also a member in good standing with the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). He holds professional credentials in insurance, and was previously registered in the U.S. as a series 7, series 63 and Options licensed Supervision and Compliance officer. As a Portfolio Manager, he successfully completed the Canadian Securities requirements for PDO, Partners and Directors. Having been featured in numerous local and national publications as well as television and radio, his opinion on financial markets and private wealth management is highly sought after.
